Description

Acharya Prashant explains that when inner energy becomes restless, there are only two options: to give that energy the highest expression through devotional surrender to godliness, or to let it out through lowly vents. He emphasizes that a channelization of energy is necessary, as in-between channels are insufficient. If one does not have the patience or desire for the highest channel, the lower-most channel of easy physical release becomes a certainty. He advises filling one's day, time, and mind entirely with the highest truth, warning that reserving any personal or private space allows stinking tendencies and suffering to take over. He asserts that the concept of personal time is a delusion, as even professional time is driven by personal desires, and this focus on the personal leads to being conquered and destroyed. Addressing the source of strength, Acharya Prashant states that strength comes from a resistance toward suffering. He uses the analogy of being chased by a mad dog to illustrate that when one realizes they are in danger, divine strength arises naturally. He explains that people often lack this strength in daily life because they are gross-minded and only recognize physical threats. While a threat to the body is easily detected and resisted, the subtle violation and rape of the mind often go unnoticed. He concludes that one must learn to love the subtle so that its violation is no longer tolerated, allowing for the same survival instinct and strength to apply to the inner life as it does to the physical body.
