Acharya Prashant explains that the question, "Why did we get separated from the complete?" is only asked by someone who already feels separate. The reason for this separation is the very feeling of being separate, which is a result of one's own choice. Your current state of feeling separate is your own doing. Ultimately, you are absolutely free; no one forced you into this state of separation. This separation (viyog) is not a compulsion but your own choice. It is like knowingly taking a pill that causes memory loss. Once the pill is taken, you forget who you are and even forget that taking the pill was your own choice. Now, you are blaming others for your condition, asking, "Who did this to me?" You yourself chose to play this game of taking birth and becoming embodied, knowing you would forget your true nature. It was seen as an adventure. This initial choice can be called 'Leela' (divine play). However, this term should be used sparingly, typically for when the formless Brahman takes an avatar. For us, this experience is suffering, not a divine play. Instead of asking, "How did I get here?", the right question is, "How do I get out of here?" When help is available, one should accept it without resistance. Asking pointless questions out of mere intellectual curiosity is a subtle form of resisting that help. One should quietly accept the help offered to save oneself.
