Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the concept of God is often misunderstood as a superior human-like entity. He defines a human being as a product of the past, shaped by time, space, and external influences like parents and society. Humans operate like machines within a chain of cause and effect, where every action and thought is rooted in past experiences. In contrast, God is that which is beyond all causes and dependencies. While humans are limited by their programming and the need for a purpose or motive, God is spontaneous, causeless, and eternally new. He distinguishes between 'construction,' which humans do based on old ideas, and 'creation,' which is the spontaneous and original act of the divine. He further clarifies that popular stories and mythologies about God are often projections of human ego, greed, and desires. He emphasizes that Shri Krishna should not be understood through folklore or physical descriptions, but as the very soul and essence of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. To truly know Shri Krishna, one must delve into the Gita rather than relying on common stories. He points out that while many people know the stories, very few actually understand the Gita. He asserts that the truth of the Gita is not found in its paper, ink, or words, but in the reader's own realization and clarity of mind. Acharya Prashant concludes by stating that the ability to perceive truth depends entirely on the purity of one's own mind. If a person lacks the clarity to navigate daily life and relationships, they cannot hope to understand the profound truth of a scripture like the Gita. Truth is not confined to a single book; it is present everywhere. Therefore, the primary focus should be on clearing the mind of illusions and biases. Once the mind is clear, truth becomes visible not just in scriptures, but in every small event and relationship in life.
