Description

Acharya Prashant explains that when an individual begins to improve themselves, they immediately gain hope that the world can also improve. He suggests that those who claim the world or others cannot change are actually reflecting their own refusal to change. Regarding the Bhagavad Gita, he discusses Shri Krishna's statement that foolish people disregard Him by viewing Him as a mere ordinary human. Acharya Prashant clarifies that this foolishness is actually rooted in fear. If a person accepts that Shri Krishna, while appearing in a physical body, is far superior and beyond the material plane, then that person must also accept the responsibility to rise to those same heights. To avoid this responsibility and the discomfort of their own lowly state, people try to pull Shri Krishna down to their level by treating Him as an equal. He notes that such individuals possess vain hopes, perform useless actions, and hold futile knowledge, characterized by a distracted and ignorant mind. In contrast, great souls recognize Shri Krishna as the imperishable source of all beings and worship Him with single-minded devotion.
