He explains that the witness is like the immovable axis of a ceiling fan or the eye of a cyclone; it is the point of absolute stability that allows for tremendous activity and daring challenges on the periphery. Having this untouched center enables one to plunge into the worldly fire without fear, knowing the real Self can never be destroyed.
