Acharya Prashant explains that no one can reveal anything to an individual except that which already lies half-asleep in the dawning of their own knowledge. He asserts that people are already perfect and healthy, and they already know everything a teacher might teach; the real wonder is not ignorance, but the pretense of ignorance. He compares himself to a child who shouts that the king is naked, noting that while everyone already knows the truth, they have reasons to remain silent or act as if they do not know. He observes that many people are scared of meeting him face-to-face because they already know what he will say and wish to avoid having their pretenses exposed. Acharya Prashant describes the true teacher as absolutely predictable, much like the sun which only provides light, leading those who wish to remain in darkness to proactively block it out. He concludes that those who avoid scriptures actually recognize their power and authenticity, and he finds it a great wonder that people continue to live as if they do not know the truth.
