Acharya Prashant explains that human tendencies attack like stones thrown at a person. If one remains alert and avoids the attack, two things happen: the person remains unharmed, and the tendency's power is exhausted. This process of avoiding the influence of tendencies is called 'Nirjara'. Each time one successfully resists an impulse, the strength of the next attack diminishes, while the individual's confidence and resolve grow. He emphasizes that the ability to resist these tendencies depends on how one lives their entire life, rather than just a single moment. A life lived in stress or unconsciousness makes one vulnerable to these attacks, whereas a life of awareness builds the capacity to remain unaffected.
