Description

Acharya Prashant explains the concept of Vibhuti Yoga from the Bhagavad Gita, where Shri Krishna tells Arjun to see Him in everything that is supreme in the world, such as the Himalayas among mountains or the Ganges among rivers. He emphasizes that worldly prosperity and excellence are attained only when one worships the Soul. To rule over the world, one must bow before the Truth rather than the world itself. When a person stops demanding from the world, they become its master. He clarifies that a Knower of the Soul becomes the Soul itself, as the mind or thoughts cannot know the Soul; only the Soul knows the Soul. From a spiritual perspective, a sage or a 'fakir' is the true king, even if the ignorant see kingship only in material power and armies. He further describes the nature of the mind as being originally one with the Soul, but in its impure state, it becomes fragmented into thousands of pieces. This fragmentation is visible in the different 'faces' or personalities a person adopts in different situations, such as at home, in the office, or in various emotional states. Being established in the Soul means these fragments integrate into a single, whole mirror. While changes still occur within this wholeness, they possess a sense of integrity and rhythm. He notes that people are often fully aware of their actions and tendencies but choose to indulge in them because they find pleasure in them. He concludes that if one does not discipline oneself, the world has its own ways of imposing discipline through suffering or bondage, noting that ignorance also seems to have its own place in the world's design.
