Acharya Prashant critiques popular spiritual advice such as "love what you do" and "be immersed in the present moment." He questions how one can be immersed in a place where they shouldn't be. He illustrates this by saying if you are in a place from which you should run to save your life, and someone tells you to be "here and now," it is absurd. Similarly, he challenges the advice to "do whatever you are doing with full immersion" by asking, what if one is committing a murder? He explains that such advice is popular because it appeals to people's laziness and doesn't require any revolution or significant change. It suggests that liberation is available right where you are, which is a comforting thought. However, he calls these ideas completely absurd. He argues that the reason you are in your current state is precisely because you are stuck where you are. Unless you allow your environment to change, your life cannot change. Acharya Prashant dismisses the notion of doing any work with full immersion, regardless of how inferior that work might be. He also refutes the idea that nothing is inherently good or bad, sarcastically asking if he should slap someone with full immersion. He asserts that many things in life need to be changed and left behind, which requires making tough decisions. One cannot expect liberation if they want life to continue as it is. He criticizes the teaching that liberation can be found anywhere, for instance, in a shop. He questions this by asking what if the shop is a brothel or deals in illegal money. He asks what compulsion, other than a selfish one, would make someone stay in such a place. He concludes by warning against the belief that one can attain liberation while protecting their selfish interests.
