Acharya Prashant introduces a meditation technique called 'Shunya Smaran' or the remembrance of zero. He explains that whenever something dominates the mind or appears terribly important—whether it is an object of attraction, hatred, or a matter of life and death—one should immediately tell themselves that it is nothing, false, or unimportant. He notes that when the mind is consumed by external situations, even spiritual teachings like the Gita or Upanishads are often forgotten. The method involves a sudden strike of thought, like an axe, to declare the situation as 'nothing'. While this may initially require energy and cause some hurt, the moment passes swiftly, leaving behind a sense of lightness.
