Acharya Prashant explains that controlling the senses and remaining concentrated on Shri Krishna as the Supreme are identical actions. The senses naturally seek objects, and the spiritual method involves repeatedly telling the senses that the only worthy object is Shri Krishna. When the eyes are attracted to a sight or the ears to a sound, one must remind them that only the image or sound of Shri Krishna is worth beholding. This process is a battle of attrition where the practitioner must prevent the senses from wandering into the external world while also refusing to let the mind create a substitute internal image of Shri Krishna.
