Acharya Prashant explains that spiritual realization is not about an individual gaining something called 'Self-knowledge' or 'Supreme Peace.' He clarifies that the seeker's primary obstacle is their deep identification with the very impurities they wish to remove. If the impurity were external, one could clean it and remain to enjoy the cleanliness; however, in spirituality, the seeker themselves is the impurity. Therefore, true purification requires the dissolution of the 'I' or the ego, leaving no individual experiencer behind to claim the benefit of peace. He emphasizes that one cannot hold onto their identity and worldly attachments while simultaneously seeking liberation from the suffering those attachments cause.
