Description

Acharya Prashant addresses a question about recognizing spiritual bypassing, particularly in the context of emotions and teachings like the "sacred feminine." He begins by questioning the need to seek guidance from such workshops when one is from India, the land of the six schools of philosophy (Shad Darshanas) and numerous saints. He refutes the idea of a "feminine way of seeing," stating that one must see the feminine, not become feminine to see. The seer is consciousness, which is neither masculine nor feminine. To see from a false identity, such as being a woman, is to see nothing but that identity. The goal is to see one's own femininity, not to see *as* a woman. He explains that such ideologies have become popular in recent times because they offer a comfortable version of spirituality, one that doesn't require enduring hardship. The true spiritual path requires a man to go beyond his masculine traits and a woman to go beyond her feminine traits, a process that involves pain. To avoid this pain, concepts like the "feminine way" are promoted. He asserts that there is no masculine or feminine way of seeing; there is only seeing. You are consciousness, not a woman. If you enter spirituality as a woman, you will remain a body, so there is no point in coming to spirituality at all. Acharya Prashant further elaborates that all emotions have a material goal. He dismisses the notion of "sacred feminine," stating that the sacred is sacred, and the feminine is feminine; the two are not the same. The Supreme (Param) has no relation to either femininity or masculinity. He explains that the misuse of paths like Vajrayana and Tantra is rampant today. These methods, which sometimes involved wine, meat, and intercourse, were originally devised for those who were denied access to knowledge through reading and writing due to social customs. Now, these methods are being exploited in workshops that promise enlightenment through sex, which is a perversion of Tantra. He concludes by stating that spirituality is a simple, clean, and truthful path, free from such complexities. When you see someone being emotional, you should ask what their material goal is, because every emotion is driven by a material greed or fear. An emotion-driven life should be abandoned, and emotions should not be placed on a high pedestal. Emotion is a form of cunning where the goal is material, but the claim is emotional. The real reason behind an emotional decision is always a material one, hidden beneath the emotion. One must investigate this hidden material cause to understand the truth of the matter.
