Acharya Prashant explains that the spirit is not a concept, as all concepts are bound to objects and things. The spirit cannot be captured by language, intention, or targets; it is that which is beneath and beyond all pointings. In popular usage, people often confuse the spirit with the mind, such as when they speak of high or low spirits. However, the true spirit is beyond qualifications like high, low, good, or bad. It is so expansive that it accommodates all corruption without being corrupted itself, making the idea of 'purification of the spirit' a fallacy. The spirit does not exist in the same dimension as the mind; therefore, the mind cannot unite with it but can only dissolve into it.
