Despite Vibhishan's readiness to stand for truth against his family and Arjun's reluctance, people name their children Arjun but not Vibhishan. The speaker explains that this happens for two reasons. The primary reason is that while people may superficially worship Krishna and Ram, their true gods are their own conditionings, beliefs, and folk religion (Lok Dharma). This folk religion, which prioritizes the body and its relationships, is fundamentally different from the Sanatana Dharma of the Gita and Vedanta. Folk religion teaches that parents are gods and one must care for one's brother, whereas the Gita's dharma posits that Truth is the only object of worship. The Gita is presented as a rebellion of Sanatana Dharma against the prevailing folk religion. Arjun represents the follower of folk religion, and Shri Krishna teaches him Sanatana Dharma, which is about Self-knowledge and selfless action, contrasting with folk religion's focus on physical instincts and social culture. The secondary reason is that people are gross-minded and perceive war in a physical sense. They are impressed by Arjun's physical prowess, his Gandiva bow, and his muscular strength, viewing him as the greatest archer. In contrast, Vibhishan's war is subtle and internal, which is why it is not as appreciated. The speaker concludes that the Gita represents the conflict between folk religion and Sanatana Dharma, urging a fight against the former. He emphasizes that the only true worship is of Truth, and no one, not even family, should be placed above it. The prayer should be, 'O Ram, save me from myself,' signifying that one should not even support oneself against Ram (Truth).
