Acharya Prashant explains that man has a tendency to exploit everything he can, from the earth for minerals and crops to the atom for energy. This exploitation is not considered immoral; in fact, society rewards those who are the most clever exploiters. This general tendency to exploit is the reason man exploits woman. If man receives recognition, respect, and reward for exploitation, he will not spare the woman. The speaker states that the human female is biologically conditioned to desire a "nest," much like an animal female. For an animal, the nest is the end of the story, but for humans, who have a society beyond biology, the woman's presence in the nest provides an opportunity for the man to exploit her further. Unlike a male bird who would not exploit the female while she cares for their young, a human male is likely to do so. The woman must go beyond her biological self because the nest, which is an expression of her biological self, is not her fortress but her cage. As long as the nest exists, the woman will continue to be exploited. Ironically, it is the woman who actively seeks the nest, thus seeking her own prison. The speaker elaborates that the woman is her own worst enemy because she is extremely biology-driven, simpler, and more innocent, much like an animal. Her emotions arise from her body, her biological conditioning, and her hormones, not from understanding or intellect. In contrast, the man, while also biological, abides more by his intellect. The woman's deep identification with her body, the nest, and biology is what keeps her imprisoned. It is biology that confines, chains, and imprisons the woman. Since the woman is the more oppressed of the two genders, the revolution for freedom must arise from her, which will ultimately liberate all of mankind. Just as a woman gives birth to a man, she must also give birth to the freedom of man. However, modern liberation movements and feminism are critiqued for being body-centric, only moving from one form of body-focus to another, such as from veiling to revealing. The only way for a woman to be truly liberated is through the spiritual route, as spirituality is the only path that can take one beyond body-identification.
