Description

Acharya Prashant explains that people enter domestic life despite seeing others suffer because of a fundamental lack of honesty and the presence of ego. He notes that admitting failure in one's personal life is extremely painful, as it requires acknowledging that one's choices were wrong. For example, a parent would have to admit to their child that the relationship which brought them into the world was unsuccessful. Most people lack the courage and love necessary to be this honest, so they choose to hide their misery and project a false image of happiness to the world. He further observes that individuals are often more afraid of being perceived as fools than they are of the actual suffering they endure. This leads to a cycle where people who are miserable in their domestic lives actively encourage others to follow the same path, simply to validate their own choices. He highlights how social media is used to advertise a heavenly marital life that is often far from the truth. The more someone feels inferior or frustrated, the more they feel the need to loudly proclaim their success and happiness to others. Ultimately, Acharya Prashant asserts that people fall for these deceptions because they are blinded by their own lust and desires. He explains that truth remains hidden not because the lie is perfect, but because the observer wants to believe the lie to justify their own cravings. He also addresses those who compare their worldly attachments to the divine love of Shri Krishna and Radha, stating that such comparisons are baseless and born out of a refusal to see one's own reality.
