Acharya Prashant addresses the tendency of people to focus on the minor flaws or past habits of enlightened beings, such as Swami Vivekananda's consumption of meat or cigars, to justify their own shortcomings. He explains that self-realization is not a static destination but a continuous process of evolution. Every individual is born into a specific environment and inherits certain social and cultural conditioning. As one progresses on the spiritual journey, they gradually shed these external layers and habits. He notes that Swami Vivekananda lived a short life of less than forty years and was constantly evolving, eventually moving away from the habits he was born into.
