Acharya Prashant explains that while virologists are the experts on the Omicron variant, which itself has many sub-variants, the root cause of such pandemics lies in humanity's relationship with nature. He states that because of the way we treat nature, one disaster after another is bound to befall us. This is the consequence of our actions. We are encroaching on forests, killing billions of creatures daily, destroying their habitats, and causing dozens of species to go extinct every day. He says that death is dancing on our heads, and not only will we be destroyed, but we will also take many others down with us. The virus is not a coincidental accident but a direct result of our misdeeds, yet we are not waking up. The future does not look good, and he is trying his best to awaken the world. When asked about his own fears during his bout with COVID-19, Acharya Prashant shares that his primary concern was for the continuation of his work. On the day his oxygen levels dropped, his fear was that if he were taken away and put on a ventilator, he needed to ensure his organization's mission would carry on. He clarifies that he is not an enlightened man devoid of worry, stress, or anger. His main concern was for his work and the people in his foundation. He made arrangements to secure the data of his teachings and ensure his team would receive their salaries for at least six months if he were to die. He does not view death as a mystical near-death experience but as a fact of life. He recounts a past accident where he temporarily lost his memory, which was painful because he was forgetting the Upanishads, the tools of his work. These experiences have instilled in him a sharp urgency to complete his work forcefully and quickly, as time is short and anything can happen. He feels a greater drive to expend himself for the mission, as there is no point in saving anything when it can all be destroyed in a moment. His motivation comes from the suffering he sees everywhere, and he feels he cannot die in peace until people are free from their delusions.
