Description

Acharya Prashant explains that a person must exert enough effort to pacify the effects of past unwholesome actions. He clarifies that past actions often become the master of the mind, dictating current behavior. However, if one refuses to let these past impressions dominate, their power and intensity naturally diminish. He uses the analogy of a noisy person in a room; if you ignore their noise, their energy eventually fades away. One does not need to actively fight these impressions because they lack their own life force; they only survive by feeding on your attention and energy. By remaining indifferent to them, they eventually dissolve.
