Acharya Prashant explains that those distant from the soul live in fear, and while fear prevents one from reaching the soul, grace acts as a miracle. He describes grace as the destination itself coming toward the seeker to provide courage when they are lost. This divine intervention is the only way for a fearful mind to return to its source, as self-effort alone is insufficient for one who is already far away. He emphasizes that the soul itself encourages the individual, a process known as compassion or grace, which allows the mind to reach enlightenment and samadhi. Addressing the possibility of controlling the mind while living in society, Acharya Prashant clarifies that most people do not actually have the choice to leave society because they are deeply enslaved by its conditioning. He asserts that humans are products of society, and as long as one identifies with that product, they remain under social control. True liberation requires the 'fire of realization' where one must be willing to let their old self be consumed to melt the chains of bondage. He points out that social influences reside within us as thoughts, morality, and duties, controlling our internal machinery. To break free, he advises living in awareness of facts and observing how one is constantly manipulated from within and without. He highlights that spiritual practice has two essential pillars: attention and faith. Attention reveals the frightening reality of one's bondage, while faith provides the courage to face that reality without turning away. Without both, a person remains stuck in their habitual patterns. He concludes that one must be observant of every breath and thought to uncover the truth of existence and move toward freedom.
