Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the act of thinking itself is a manifestation of Maya. He suggests that Maya has been attempting to reach the Truth through noble intentions since the beginning of time, but these intentions are merely another form of Maya. Truth exists independently of human experience or recognition; its value does not depend on whether an individual perceives it or not. He critiques traditional spirituality for misrepresenting Maya, which often leads people to repress natural human tendencies like desire, anger, and the pursuit of wealth or fame. He asserts that these emotions, when understood deeply, are actually expressions of a longing for the Truth. For instance, anger can be seen as a testament to love, and every desire is ultimately a desire for the Truth. The speaker discusses creativity as a manifestation of being close to the Truth. Creativity requires the courage to leap into the unknown without maps, logic, or past precedents. Those who are fearful cannot be creative; they merely follow established paths and imitate others. He emphasizes that one should not be bound by labels like being careful, carefree, or careless. Instead of trying to control or fight the mind—which only serves to keep the mind trapped in a cycle of conflict—one should grant the mind total freedom. When the mind is truly liberated, it dissolves. Regarding the quest for peace, Acharya Prashant argues that peace is available in the present moment and does not require any external conditions or future achievements. People often use logic and responsibilities as excuses to remain in a state of unrest because their entire life structure is built upon it. He advises that peace should not be a goal to be achieved through action; rather, one should start with peace and then perform whatever actions are necessary. If the first step is peaceful, then the path and the destination will also be peaceful. The essence of living correctly is to ensure the beginning is right and to remain unconcerned about the end.
