Acharya Prashant explains that at an absolute level, there is no fundamental difference between sexual engagement with a physical person and engaging with pornography. Whether the excitement is triggered by a physical body, a memory, or an image on a screen, all excitement is essentially the same and results in the same failure and frustration. Any relief gained from these acts, whether physical or mental, is superficial. However, he notes a relative difference based on the probability of being awakened from one's illusions. A character on a screen or in a book is a slave to the viewer's desires, designed to maintain their illusions and edited to be sanitized. In contrast, a physical person of flesh and blood cannot be a total slave to one's desires or money. A real person is more likely to destroy one's assumptions, disturb concepts, and shatter dreams because their actions are not pre-recorded or customized. Therefore, while both acts are the same in their quality of lust, the presence of a physical person offers a higher chance for observation and the potential to be woken up from a deep stupor.
