Description

Acharya Prashant explains that weaknesses are of two kinds. The first kind consists of perceived weaknesses that are not actually weaknesses but are labels imposed by society or family. For instance, a peaceful child in a violent family might be labeled as weak, or a person with a darker complexion might be told it is a problem. These are not inherent flaws but reflections of the mental slavery and narrow mindsets of others. Similarly, many people believe they possess strengths, such as excessive talking being mistaken for confidence, which are actually meaningless. True strength can only be derived from four fundamental pillars: Truth (Knowing), Freedom, Joy, and Love. Acharya Prashant defines these pillars clearly. Knowing means being inquisitive and refusing to remain ignorant. Freedom means acting, thinking, and listening without bondage. Joy means rejecting boredom and living with vitality rather than a defeated attitude. Love means being fully immersed and dedicated to whatever one is doing, whether it is playing, listening, or working, rather than doing it just for a salary. He concludes that living according to one's essential nature of love, joy, freedom, and truth constitutes strength, while violating or forgetting these principles is the only real weakness.
