Acharya Prashant explains that human pursuits, whether for money, prestige, or knowledge, are fundamentally physical because the world is an extension of the body. He argues that people often deceive themselves by labeling their physical or psychological desires as spiritual quests. For instance, someone searching for a book at night might actually be seeking something else entirely, but they use the 'intellectual' pursuit of a book to maintain social respect and self-esteem. He emphasizes that truth is not an object to be found; rather, we only desire things that align with our current state. Many spiritual activities, like dancing in religious gatherings, are often just outlets for suppressed physical desires that people are afraid to acknowledge directly due to social conditioning.
