Acharya Prashant explains that abuse is fundamentally anything that causes hurt, and the world inherently provides nothing but such hurt. When faced with pain, people typically react in two ways: by retaliating to win or by numbing their sensitivity to avoid feeling the pain. Both reactions lead to conflict, suffering, and inner tension. He defines a 'Sadhu' as one who understands that the world cannot be conquered. For a Sadhu, the desire to defeat an attacker does not arise because they realize that engaging with the world in a struggle for victory is itself a defeat. In the world, there is no true victory or loss; there is only loss and more loss. True victory lies only in the Divine.
