Acharya Prashant explains that true understanding goes much deeper than memory; it becomes a part of one's being and flows through the system rather than being localized in words. He uses the analogy of words being like hollow stones or bottles containing precious nectar or medicine. While the bottle is necessary to carry the medicine, it should be discarded once the medicine is fully absorbed. Similarly, if a listener has the capacity and thirst to fully assimilate the teacher's message in one go, memory becomes unnecessary. However, since most people lack this immediate receptivity, remembering and revisiting the words is essential until the message is fully internalized.
