Acharya Prashant explains that it doesn't matter whether you possess goodness or badness, or who you are as an individual. The only thing that makes a difference is whether you stand with Krishna or against him. If you stand against Krishna, even if you are a great donor, you will die while donating. Similarly, if you are against Krishna and are self-restrained, you will die practicing self-restraint. Conversely, if you are with Krishna, it doesn't matter who you are. The speaker points out that Bhima, Yudhishthira, and Arjun all had their own flaws. The great warriors on the Pandavas' side were not perfect; they all had their own merits, demerits, and were bound by their own compulsions. Yet, they emerge victorious. The Pandava army wins despite being smaller. The Kauravas, on the other hand, lose despite having great warriors like Karna, Drona, and Bhishma on their side. They had a hundred Kaurava brothers and an army one and a half to two times larger than the Pandavas', but they still lost. Their prowess was of no use, and there was no lack of it. Even a warrior as great as Karna could not change the outcome. This raises a central question: despite being so great, why did Karna live and die in sorrow? Acharya Prashant notes that Karna's character was, in many ways, more enlightened and brighter than that of many Pandavas. He had courage, a heart, and had risen by facing adversity. Yet, he could not achieve anything in life and died unfulfilled. The speaker concludes that while many things were right with Karna, there was one crucial flaw: he did not have Krishna with him.
