Description

Acharya Prashant begins by stating that falsehood has never triumphed over truth. He explains that even when falsehood appears to win, it does so by taking the name and wearing the face of truth. Falsehood is compelled to do this because it cannot openly declare itself as such; if it did, people would question whether that very statement is true or false. Thus, truth always wins, either directly or disguised as falsehood. The speaker then addresses the perception that current social conditions are uniquely corrupt. He asserts that this is not a new phenomenon; the human mind has always been this way, and this game of truth versus falsehood is perpetual. The mind's constant search for something new keeps it trapped in this cycle. This hope for the new manifests in various ways, such as hoping for a new avatar or technology, or even perceiving the current era as especially corrupt, which is also a new idea. He connects this to the concept of ideals, stating that spirituality means the complete destruction of all ideals. The problem with society is not a lack of ideals, but an abundance of them. An ideal is something one wants to imitate or follow, and everyone is following some ideal, whether it's a politician, an actor, or a concept of a happy family. The speaker points out that the real religion for most people is the protection of their own lies. True religion, he explains, is to go beyond personal definitions and surrender to the ultimate. When one says "my religion" or "my peace," it is not true religion. True religion is when one is willing to let go of personal convictions and flow with the supreme.
