Acharya Prashant explains that the primary challenge in spirituality is not the absence of answers, but the presence of pre-existing, conditioned answers that individuals carry. He notes that people are conditioned by nature, society, and modern influences like social media, which provide ready-made attitudes and beliefs. Rather than seeking new information or interpreting scriptures through a biased mind, he suggests that one should critically examine and test the validity of their current beliefs. He asserts that true honesty lies in scrutinizing the stale and borrowed answers one already possesses. Furthermore, Acharya Prashant clarifies the concept of newness, stating that it cannot be achieved by simply adding something new to a conditioned self. Instead, true newness emerges spontaneously when the old dirt of conditioning is removed. He explains that the path to the new is through the understanding of the old. Authentic newness is often unrecognizable at first because it does not conform to existing mental categories or prior expectations. By being honest with one's current state and observing the old without the motive of finding the new, a timeless and original transformation occurs.
