Acharya Prashant explains that in the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Shri Krishna describes how an unsteady person lacks both intellect (buddhi) and contemplation (bhavana). He clarifies that steadiness implies being rooted in the truth. When an individual is not centered in the truth, they become committed to the ego (ahum vritti). This false center leads to distorted emotions and passions (bhavana) that nourish falseness, which in turn produces self-destructive thoughts (vichar) through the intellect. Thus, for the unsteady, both the underlying passion and the resulting thoughts are misdirected, leading to a lack of peace and happiness.
