Acharya Prashant explains that when one realizes they are dependent, the door to freedom from that dependence opens automatically. This realization of being dependent is never solitary. The reason is that realization itself cannot be dependent on anything. If you were completely dependent, you wouldn't even be able to know that you are dependent. This realization comes from your ultimate freedom. The moment you know, the doors to liberation have opened. To know deeply is everything. If you find that even after knowing, action does not follow and the doors do not open, it means you have not truly known yet. The only reason for a lapse in knowing is that you have already decided that you do not want to know. You must stop making that decision. The mind lives in habits. Even after you know, the mind will make one last attempt. It will tell you, "You know, but you cannot be free. If you haven't been free until now, how can you be free now?" From its own perspective, the mind is giving a correct argument because, in its world, tomorrow is the same as yesterday. The mind is a closed box; it only knows that the future is a repetition of the past. The mind will argue from behind, looking at your whole life and asking, "Have you ever been free? If not until now, how can you be free now?" This will cause your advancing steps to falter. Do not let your steps stop. The voice will surely come, and your faith will waver. But the one giving this voice is an amateur; it does not know that something new can happen. It is itself ignorant, so do not pay attention to its voice. See the possibility that arises from your realization and move forward fearlessly. Move forward even if it feels strange, even if you feel uneasy, even if it seems no one is walking with you, and even if your own mind asks, "What are you doing?" All these voices are from the same mind that wants you to remain in your cage. Do not pay attention to these voices. Close your eyes, take the name of the divine, and move forward.
