Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the universe is indifferent to an individual's choice to live a wrong or destructive life. He emphasizes that human life is insignificant in the vastness of existence, comparing a person's death to that of a common insect, which goes unnoticed by the world. Even close relatives only mourn for a brief period before moving on with their lives. Therefore, if one chooses to ruin their life through wrong actions, the loss is entirely their own. He critiques the modern tendency to take pride in rebellion or living wrongly, noting that such arrogance is misplaced because existence offers complete freedom to be ruined without interference. He further asserts that spirituality is a matter of ultimate self-interest. Living rightly is not a favor to others but a means to save oneself and reach the highest potential of human birth. He warns that those who persist in harmful habits, like ignoring health warnings or living deceitfully for the sake of 'style' or 'ego', eventually face immense suffering. By the time one realizes their mistake and their arrogance fades, time has usually run out. He uses the metaphor of a buffalo entering a small field to illustrate how death eventually consumes everything, leaving no room for late repentance. Ultimately, he suggests that while one is free to treat life as a performance of rebellion, they alone will bear the consequences of the poison they choose to consume.
