Acharya Prashant explains that his transition into spiritual teaching was not a sudden event or a single-moment decision, but rather a gradual process of growth and inquiry. He attributes his early development to being exposed to a wide range of literature in his father's library from a young age, which allowed his consciousness to branch out in many directions. During his time at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, several significant global and local events, such as the Bhuj earthquake, the 9/11 attacks, and the Gujarat riots, prompted him to apply his analytical and logical skills to the state of the world. He questioned why such tragedies occur if material prosperity and happiness are considered the ultimate goals of life.
