Description

Acharya Prashant explains that when Shri Krishna says, 'There is no truth superior to me,' and 'Everything is strung on me like pearls on a thread,' he is not speaking from the perspective of a physical body or an egoistic personality. He clarifies that the 'Me' Shri Krishna refers to is the ultimate Truth or the Self, which is the same in everyone. If a person understands this, they realize that the Truth is not external; rather, the entire world and one's experiences are dependent on the existence of the Self. He emphasizes that Shri Krishna speaks from a state where the individual identity or 'face' does not exist, which is why his call to 'surrender to Me' is not an act of ego but an invitation to return to the source of all existence. Addressing the skepticism regarding the historical existence of Shri Krishna or the setting of the Bhagavad Gita, Acharya Prashant asserts that such questions are irrelevant. The reality of the Gita itself is the proof of 'Krishna'; whoever spoke or wrote those words is Krishna. He further explains that every human being is born with the same potential as Shri Krishna, but societal conditioning, parental expectations, and 'love' from the world mold individuals into limited personalities. Shri Krishna remained what he was because he was not subjected to such conditioning or the influence of traditional gurus. He concludes that the essence of the Gita is to recognize that the same Truth resides in everyone, and the distinction between individuals disappears at that level of realization.
