Description

Acharya Prashant explains that while accidental errors in perception can occur when consciousness is low, such mistakes are easily corrected because facts never contradict one another. He emphasizes that contradictions in one's life are clear indicators of self-deception. Using an example of a man who claimed to be strong enough to handle the truth but later complained about being hurt by it, he illustrates how people often live in imagination rather than factual reality. Life does not compromise with misunderstandings and will eventually expose them; therefore, one must surrender to the facts as they appear. Regarding the impact of taunts and criticism, Acharya Prashant asserts that they only affect an individual if they secretly believe the criticism to be true. He compares this to a child making a funny face; the child is not offended by their own ugliness because they know it is a temporary play. To remain unaffected, one must live in facts, maintaining a mind like a mirror that reflects reality without distortion. This state of living in truth allows one to reach the center of existence, regardless of the path or means chosen. Finally, he discusses the nature of fear and the mind, stating that fear is merely an imagination with no real existence. He clarifies that spiritual 'death' or being 'dead to the mind' does not mean the end of attraction or repulsion, but rather the end of mechanical, conditioned reactions. True living, often referred to by saints like Kabir Saheb as 'dying while alive,' is the transition from being a programmed machine to experiencing a conscious, supreme life. This state of liberation is not a literal death but the beginning of authentic existence.
