Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the only way to overcome fear and hesitation is to consistently challenge them through direct action and practice. He notes that while fear may be a long-standing habit, it does not necessarily take as long to remove as it took to build. Using the analogy of cleaning a house, he suggests that years of accumulated grime can be cleared with a few days of effort. He emphasizes that it is a misconception to believe that fear or internal resistance will entirely vanish. Natural bodily tendencies and psychological opposition will often persist when one attempts to do something meaningful, and the true test is to continue working despite these feelings. Acharya Prashant further illustrates this point using the example of the warrior Karna, who admitted to feeling fear because he was made of flesh and blood but refused to let that fear affect his aim. He notes that the presence of Shri Krishna was the deciding factor in the battle, but the warrior's duty remains to act regardless of internal state. He advises that one should perform the right actions even if they are trembling, crying, or feeling irritated. Regarding mistakes and distractions, he explains that falling is a result of past conditioning and biological nature, but the essential task is to keep rising and moving forward. He encourages exploring the world and seeking new experiences, provided that one maintains their awareness and intellect as the primary guide, promptly restoring focus whenever it wavers.
