Acharya Prashant explains that resolve and surrender belong to different levels of the mind. Resolve is characterized by desire-driven action, where a person acts to fulfill a specific want. While resolve is effective for acquiring material objects like money or property, it cannot lead to peace because the very act of resolving creates a disturbance that prevents peace. Surrender, on the other hand, is the recognition of the limits of resolve. It is the state where the mind realizes it has done all it can and that the ultimate goals of love, joy, and truth cannot be achieved through personal effort or willpower alone.
