Acharya Prashant explains that the only way to keep the mind healthy is to engage it in the highest possible task. The state of the mind is determined by its goal; if the goal is material, like money or buildings, the mind becomes brittle and dry like those objects. He emphasizes that one must set the highest possible goal within their circumstances and move forward, even if it brings fear or pain. He quotes Kabir Saheb, noting that the ultimate truth is not found through laughter but through intense effort and even tears. One must transcend their current boundaries and start something real and significant. Regarding the concept of God, Acharya Prashant clarifies that the need for Truth or God arises because humans live in falsehood and suffering. Just as light is needed because darkness causes pain, the ego seeks the Soul because it suffers. He critiques the common understanding of love, stating that spiritual love is only for the Truth, not for material objects or worldly relationships. He points out that religion is declining because people visit temples to fulfill worldly desires rather than seeking liberation. True religion is lost when there is no genuine attraction toward Truth or freedom. On the path to liberation, Acharya Prashant teaches that it begins with identifying one's bonds. One must honestly recognize suffering and its causes without giving them beautiful names like ambition, responsibility, or duty. A bond must be called a bond and then severed. He concludes by clarifying that true love is not the Truth itself, but rather the intense attraction and devotion directed toward the Truth or the Divine.
