Acharya Prashant explains that worldly conduct generally refers to relationships formed out of desire, attachment, fear, doubt, and delusion. He clarifies that the sages do not object to interaction itself, as the very existence of the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads depends on the dialogue between teacher and disciple. Spirituality is the ascent from low-grade worldly conduct to a superior, excellent, and beautiful form of conduct. It is impossible to completely stop interacting with the world while one has a body; therefore, one must learn to interact from a center of joy and completeness rather than being a puppet controlled by physical instincts and social conditioning. The speaker notes that the vow to not return to this world means refusing to return to a state of ignorance and bondage. He asserts that individual liberation is a myth because one's own freedom is inseparable from the freedom of all beings. To observe the welfare of others means to actively work for their liberation. As long as creation exists, the seeker remains dedicated to the goal of attaining freedom and helping others achieve the same, as true liberation is only possible when every creature is free.
