Description

Acharya Prashant discusses the teachings of Kabir Saheb regarding the stains of the inner mind, emphasizing that physical cleaning with water and soap cannot remove internal impurities. He explains that the stain of the inner mind is removed only when one constantly remembers that the stain exists. Forgetting one's stained nature makes the impurity permanent, whereas acknowledging it leads to liberation. Initially, seeing one's own flaws causes discomfort because it shatters the ego's false belief in its own purity. However, once this pride is broken and the reality of being flawed is accepted, finding one's own faults becomes an enjoyable process of self-discovery. He further explains the role of the Guru as one who continuously points out the disciple's stains. Discomfort in the presence of a Guru arises from the disciple's pride and the attempt to hide their true nature. Acharya Prashant suggests that one must become completely transparent and 'naked' before the Guru, much like a patient before a doctor. True proximity and ease with the Guru are only possible when the disciple stops pretending to be pure and allows their pride to be destroyed. Once the false image of being stainless is discarded, the disciple can finally move toward genuine transformation.
