Description

Acharya Prashant explains that intelligence is the expression of a mature brain, which is why small children and animals lack the capacity for discernment. He emphasizes that while humans are fortunate to possess a developed brain, it is a misfortune if they do not know how to use it. Intelligence flourishes in an atmosphere of meditation, but it faces three primary enemies: disturbance, fear, and greed. To maintain consciousness and intelligence, one must distance themselves from people and situations that cause mental agitation, instill fear, or offer allurements. He asserts that fear only exists because individuals choose to depend on others for their identity, name, and security. By accepting these 'small facilities' from others, people trade away their priceless freedom, leading to the constant fear of those things being taken away. To eliminate fear, one must stop this transaction and become self-reliant. Addressing the concern of distancing oneself from parents or loved ones, Acharya Prashant clarifies the nature of true love. He states that genuine love does not impose conditions or demand dependency; instead, it desires the other person to be independent and free. If a relationship requires one to remain bound or dependent, it is not true love, as the essence of love is to liberate. He encourages the listener to stop taking things from others at the cost of their freedom, as self-reliance is the only path to a fearless mind.
