Acharya Prashant explains that the eleventh chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, where Shri Krishna reveals His universal form to Arjun, should be understood as a profound shift in perception rather than a mere supernatural event. While one can view it as a divine story where Arjun receives physical 'divine eyes,' a more beneficial interpretation, supported by Adi Shankara, is that Arjun's internal understanding was transformed. Through Shri Krishna's grace and constant association, Arjun reached a state where he could perceive the underlying unity in the diversity of the world. Just as a thread holds different beads together in a necklace, Arjun began to see the 'Krishna-element' that connects all separate entities, such as life and death or the sentient and the insentient.
