Description

Acharya Prashant explains that living in a state of constant suspicion is equivalent to living in hell. He emphasizes that there must be something beyond doubt and scrutiny that serves as one's internal engine. He asserts that concepts like the core, individuality, or the source cannot be proven through logical arguments because every proof exists within the domain of the mind and can be dismantled by logic. Faith is the only true proof; without it, no amount of evidence will ever be sufficient. A faithless person is characterized by fear and a life of constant compromise and suffering, whereas faith allows one to live truly rather than just enduring existence. The mind is not necessarily a barrier to faith; rather, it should function as a faithful servant. A faithful mind is one that is not constantly calculating, cunning, or suspecting, but is instead simple and relaxed, leaving the results to a higher power. Acharya Prashant notes that one cannot inspire faith in others through arguments alone; it is the quality of one's presence that matters. If a person's eyes reflect only fear, they cannot inspire faith. He describes fear and confusion as inessential and compares holding onto fear to holding a piece of burning coal while complaining about the pain. He concludes that the right place for the mind is to be immersed in the heart, and when the mind acts as a faithful servant in this way, everything in life naturally falls into place.
