Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the fundamental error of humanity lies in creating a duality between the Creator and the creation, or between 'Prabhu' (the Lord) and 'Prabhuta' (His manifestation). He asserts that there is only one singular existence and that the Lord is not a separate person or entity who created the world from the outside. Instead, the world itself is the manifestation of the Divine. He critiques the traditional view of Maya as a separate illusion, stating that Maya is simply the failure to see the Divine in everything. To see anything as separate from the Lord is the essence of illusion. True liberation comes not from understanding the world to renounce it, but from a vision where the world and the Truth are seen as one and the same. He further argues that our tendency to compartmentalize life into sacred and secular spaces, such as having a separate prayer room while acting selfishly in the office, is a form of dishonesty rooted in this duality. A truly religious person does not need a temple because for them, every place and every object is a temple. Acharya Prashant emphasizes that the Divine is 'Nirvishesh' (without special attributes) and is present in the ordinary, the weak, and even the decaying, not just in grand idols or powerful avatars. He concludes that when one stops looking for the Divine in specific scriptures or remote places and starts seeing the Divine in the immediate reality—like a leaf, a drop of water, or even mud—one transcends all conflict, violence, and ego, reaching a state of non-duality where the seeker and the sought are one.
