Acharya Prashant explains the distinction between a worldly person, a seeker, and a realized being through the lens of effort and action. He states that a worldly person acts out of forgetfulness of their true nature, constantly striving to acquire what they believe is lost. This effort is born from ignorance and only serves to strengthen one's bonds. In contrast, a seeker is someone who has begun to remember their true self. Although the seeker is still bound by the deep-seated habit of 'doing' and cannot immediately stop acting, their actions are now directed toward liberation. The seeker uses effort to cut the very chains they once forged through previous actions. While the worldly person moves deeper into the mire, the seeker's effort is aimed at getting out of it.
