Description

Acharya Prashant begins by stating that he does not want to be told about troubles and compulsions, as he is already aware of them. He asks the audience to show their courage and determination, rather than just singing songs of helplessness and defeat. He explains that strength is built through resistance, just as in a gym, which only offers opposition. He says, "We have seen such times, we have burned the house and seen the smoke." He humorously contrasts this with the image of Arjun crying out in pain with Shri Krishna as his charioteer. Responding to a questioner who feels he has failed to bring even one person to the right path, Acharya Prashant calls life a joke. He points out the irony that the questioner finds it difficult to bring one person, yet congratulates the speaker on reaching 22 million followers. He clarifies that this achievement is not a miracle but the result of immense hard work. If it were so difficult, this would not have been possible. He states that he is a man of flesh and blood, born in the same northern India, who speaks the same language and eats the same food. He asserts that if he had not put in the effort, the questioner would not be sitting there. Just as he brought the questioner, the questioner should also bring others. Acharya Prashant reiterates that he does not want to hear about troubles and compulsions, as he has faced far greater ones. He wants to see courage and hear about victories, not just helplessness. He states that he is doing the work that the media, the education system, and parents should be doing, because they all claim they cannot. He says that if everyone claims they cannot do something, then he is doing it. The opposition one faces in doing the right thing is what builds inner strength. The gym is a place where everything is designed to oppose you, and that is how strength is built. The inert has its own power, and consciousness must have the power of resolve to overcome it. He explains that living life is not just a personal matter. It is not enough to live a pure, sattvic life in a corner while the world suffers. One must also grapple with the world. He gives the example of Shri Krishna, who did not teach Arjun to have a good personal life but to fight the war. It is necessary to have a good personal life according to the Gita, but that is not enough. One must also struggle. He concludes by quoting Kabir Saheb: "Having taken the name of a warrior, why fear now, O brave one? Stand firm in the battlefield and face the arrows head-on. I have set my own house on fire, with a torch in hand. Whoever wants to burn their own house, can walk with me."
