Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the ego is lost and requires indicators to reach its destination. Naam, meaning 'that which tells of', serves as this indicator. While the ultimate truth is formless and nameless, the human mind cannot grasp the absolute directly. Therefore, the mind needs a symbol or fragrance of the truth to be redeemed. He highlights that the Guru is the highest and most practical indicator of the ultimate. By choosing the right name, form, or person, one is led toward the nameless, the formless, and freedom from all personas. Wisdom lies in being particular about what occupies the mind, as the right words lead to silence and the right company leads to freedom from the compulsive need for company. Regarding the concept of God's will or Hukum, Acharya Prashant clarifies that God does not possess a personal will to impose; rather, God is absolute freedom. The faculty of will has been vested entirely in humans. To live according to God's will means to use one's free will in alignment with absolute freedom and godliness. Since the human being naturally craves truth and freedom, choosing in favor of these deepest desires is following the Divine Will. Man's test is to continuously choose God over the many other distractions of the world. Living by God's will is the act of willing God again and again in every decision.
