Description

Acharya Prashant explains that spirituality is the process of knowing the Truth and attaining peace. It is not about holding opinions, beliefs, or following a specific ideology. He states that Truth, Peace, and Emptiness are three names for the same reality. Spirituality involves becoming empty of all mental clutter and preconceived notions. A spiritual person does not belong to any sect, group, or fixed path; they are guided solely by the Truth. Referring to Kabir Saheb, Acharya Prashant describes the spiritual person as one who has no personal direction but moves wherever the Truth calls. Such an individual is free and not a slave to any ideology. They find Truth in various sources, whether it be the teachings of Kabir Saheb, Guru Nanak Dev, Lao Tzu, Jesus, the Quran, or the Upanishads. Spirituality is not defined by external appearances like clothing or specific traditions. He further clarifies that while a worldly person has many masters—such as their job, family, or social expectations—a spiritual person has only one master: the Truth. This singular devotion makes them truly free from all other masters. Therefore, a spiritual person cannot be easily defined or categorized, as their actions are always in alignment with the ever-present Truth rather than a fixed routine or identity.
