Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the current state of the world is deteriorating because the responsibility for action has fallen into the hands of the wrong people. He observes that those driven by petty desires, selfishness, and destructive tendencies appear highly energetic, disciplined, and enthusiastic. In contrast, those who possess some understanding or lack destructive motives often appear indifferent, lazy, or paralyzed by doubt. This imbalance exists because individuals with great talent and discipline often dedicate their skills to 'Duryodhana-like' figures who offer material rewards, while 'Arjun-like' individuals hesitate to commit to selfless causes. He emphasizes that the world is shaped by human choice; if people continue to support selfish interests for personal gain, then selfishness will inevitably rule the world. Referring to the Bhagavad Gita, Acharya Prashant highlights Shri Krishna's poignant strategy of using the attachment and vigor of the ignorant as an example for Arjun. Shri Krishna points out that if those driven by ego can work with such dedication, then Arjun, who is centered in the Soul, should act with even greater resolve for the welfare of the world. The speaker argues that 'Truth alone triumphs' is not an automatic law in the material world; rather, Truth wins only when individuals choose it over their own ego and attachments. He asserts that humans are unique because they have the power of self-creation. By surrendering one's small, limited identity to the Truth, even a 'sparrow' can overcome a 'hawk.' He concludes that the failure of the righteous is not a failure of Truth itself, but a result of their own lack of commitment, discipline, and willingness to sacrifice their petty self-interests for a higher cause.
